Why You Need to Try Earl Grey Tea in Your Recipes

Are you one of those tea drinkers who only likes their black tea? Or maybe you’re a green tea fan and you think your favorite is so much better than Earl Grey. Do you enjoy exploring and making new recipes that taste fantastic? During my research, I came across this incredibly detailed Earl Grey tea blog and was inspired to include the idea in one of my recipes.

I usually bake cakes over the weekend and decided it is a perfect moment to include the Earl Grey tea in my loaf batter. The results came out amazing, and my whole family enjoyed the tea-infused loaf. The recipe is as shown below so that you can try it out.

Earl Grey And Lemon Loaf Cake Recipe

The flavors from earl grey tea make this loaf cake taste perfect for a satisfying breakfast or snacking experience. It is easy to make and perfect for consumption by any person.

  • 4 Earl Grey tea bags
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup melted butter, unsalted
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ cup oat milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Lemon slices for garnish

Icing Ingredients:

  • 4 teaspoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup icing sugar
  1. Set oat milk on your oven on medium high and allow to boil. Add in 2 tea bags and set the milk aside from heat. The aim is to allow for adequate cooling.

  2. Set the oven settings to preheat at 350° F and grease a loaf pan.

  3. Using a bowl, combine honey, butter, and sugar until even, then crush in the eggs one at a time to get a smooth batter.

  4. Mix in baking powder, salt, and flour until well-combined, then add the tea-infused milk with the tea leaves from inside and the remaining 2 tea bags. Mix until even.

  5. Have the batter into the ready loaf pan and bake in the ready oven for about 45 minutes.

  6. Once baked, put the loaf aside to cool.

  7. In a separate bowl, mix all the icing ingredients until even, then pour over the cooled loaf.

  8. Garnish with lemon slices and enjoy.
