Gaining an active following on Instagram

Are you an Instagram lover?

Or just an IG admirer?

Do you love to take pictures?

Or you might just wonder: “Is Instagram really useful?”

Well, today, there’s an app developer who has answered every question you can imagine with respect to Instagram.

No, he didn’t register high up on the IG follower list…

He didn’t gain a massive number of followers, nor did he become known as an influencer.

What he did was way more important: he made Instagram infinitely more useful.

There are 2.2 billion different accounts on Instagram, and people post more than 375 million pictures every day.

All those (seemingly random) images and pixels displayed in an almost endless stream of photographs and videos are created using two different approaches.

The reason for this lies in the idiosyncratic functionality of Instagram algorithms.

How do you like the pictures you see on Instagram?

If you’re a normal user, you probably don’t care.

You just want to see cute puppies and chubby children, exotic landscapes, and hilarious memes.

In technical terms, you are a content consumer.

However, there’s another type of Instagram user – a completely different one.

There’s no way to formally distinguish between these two groups of users…

…but there certainly is a way to categorize their behavior and their understandings of the app.

For instance, you might be more into video posts, and maybe you prefer a certain filter.

Or perhaps you’re a big fan of the best filter, and your feed is always full of beautiful travel shots.

You might even be a basic Instagrammer who is constantly searching for new names to add to your hashtag.

The Instagram craze

But you’re still just normal.

This article will tell you how a normal user of Instagram can make it infinitely more useful.

What’s more, you don’t need advanced programming skills.

As a matter of fact, because this isn’t a programming article, there are no code suggestions.

So, how can a normal Instagram user improve their Instagram feed and make it infinitely more useful?

When you want to find a specific piece of information on the Internet, start typing absolutely anything in the search box.

And then the best results will show up.

This is precisely the way Instagram functions.

You want to see puppies, just type “puppies.”

You love landscapes, just type “landscape.”

Or you want to have your mind blown by the nature of the universe, go ahead and post pictures of planets.

This is exactly how a normal Instagram user’s feed works.

But how does the “infinite” part work? If we don’t know the final goal of these ordinary people, who just follow a common set of algorithms, doesn’t that put them in an extremely disadvantaged position?

Here’s where the genius comes into play.

These people are not satisfied with “normal” results.

They do not just want to see the top venues, recommended hashtags, and the most liked pictures.

Enter “Activity.”

The activity of the users who simply follow the algorithm for Instagram content is limited to a tiny topic section.

Activity is a kind of algorithm for active users.

If you like the algorithm’s activity function, you will see significantly more choices.

Again, you will have to learn to distinguish the eccentric tidbits from the more generic “infinite” results.

And this is where you come in.

You can figure out approximately when the algorithm was designed or how different event dates affect the results.

You will figure out which people have the same taste as you.

This is how you become an Instagram influencer.

Instagram influencer

This is how you improve your Instagram feed.

I should probably mention one more thing.

There are two types of activity: “your own” and “live.”

The first option is what we call “Activity Document.”

Every user can create their own activity inscriptions for people they like.

That is, “Activity Document” is a document in which you can show your own activity.

“Live” activity – which is what you enter when you interact with the “infinite” feed – works like this:

Say that there’s a user named “Adam” you really like on Instagram.

And you decide to meet him.

In fact, you want to meet him in person, probably twice.

The algorithm is flexible enough to show you the easiest way to make this happen.

Adam submits a photo or video to the “Activity” feed, which you will be able to interact with (like or comment).

Every interaction alters the intentions of the user (in this case, Adam).

This is how you will be able to tweak the algorithm’s selection of Instagram activities.

And that is how you will create minimum effort, flexible and fully automated Instagram activities.

If you’re interested, go ahead and take the quiz at the bottom of this article. It will tell you when the algorithm was created.

But before you do that, I have one more important thing to tell you – and this is what I want to accomplish with this article.

Optimize your Instagram feeds

If you can optimize your Instagram feed and identify which Instagram users are similar to you and what they like, you will have the tool you need to attract more followers. Guess what?

This means you have almost guaranteed chance of getting more followers.

If you don’t understand this part, I want you to think about the way teenagers use Instagram.

When you spend half your day on the Internet, you will notice that teenagers have become almost synonymous with social media.

They are overwhelmed by the number of possibilities that Instagram offers.

The teenagers don’t know how to read or understand the algorithm.

They don’t realize that they can make their Instagram accounts much more interactive and friendlier.

You’ll probably hear a lot of stories about this to come.

Some stories will be negative – talking about how teenagers use Instagram incorrectly.

Most of these stories use a banal, negative tone that doesn’t help.

But often, the root cause of these problems is ignorance of how the Instagram algorithm works.

Educate yourself.

I don’t want you to be near the bottom of the rankings. I want you to be top ten.

But only if you know how Instagram works.

I want you to make the algorithm work for you, and I want you to be able to use it to attract more followers.

Work hard.

Don’t waste time.

But – I’m sure you already know it – the results can only be good.

Here is the meat of this article, the avenue to gaining an active following on Instagram.

Step 1: Build a solid foundation – Actively engage with your followers day after day by answering questions, replying positively, and avoiding spammy comments. Get noticed and build up trust.

Step 2: Tap into their community – When they are bored or hungry for content, they will follow you for content to give them what they want, including yourself! Build your brand by going where your fans congregate online and being a source of inspiration instead of just a source of information.

Step 3: Make it work for you – People will appreciate your hard work by following you back; don’t make the mistake of believing that they will automatically become customers or fans. Give them something amazing and timely enough that they will be compelled to follow back, not just because they want a free product but because they want to support you in this authentic way!

As soon as they get a chance to follow you back on Instagram or Twitter

When companies are trying to promote their products and services on Instagram, people often don’t understand how important it is to follow back and engage with them. After all, you don’t want to lose out on a potential customer by not following them back. When I first started trying to grow my Instagram account, I faced the same issue.

The whole idea behind growing your Instagram following is simple: it’s the best way to reach your target audience and create brand awareness. If you want to improve your following, you should take three more steps to make that happen.

First, you need to understand what exactly makes a page “Instagram friendly.”

It has a lot to do with IG’s specific algorithm, but the most important factor is how much engagement the page receives. An engaged audience is one that enjoys your content, shares it with others, and interacts with other pages nearby. They’re also more likely to buy from you after looking at your product pages.

Second, find a way to get them engaging with your page.

This trick is pretty simple. Instead of promoting the page like an advertiser, find a way for your followers to engage with your posts. You can do this by reposting things from other users on IG or providing giveaways in exchange for feedback. This will also help you gain engagement with your own followers and boost your following on Instagram.

Lastly, make sure that you’re presenting yourself as an authentic brand when interacting with others on the platform.

In addition to promoting yourself as an expert in the field of products being sold on Instagram, you should also add a personal touch by using images of yourself and interacting with other pages nearby. This approach will drive people to buy from you and ensure that they find value in what you have to offer.
